What EPS-TOPIK tests

EPS-TOPIK checks whether you can understand the basic Korean you need for daily life and work in Korea. It has a reading part and a listening part. Questions use everyday situations and workplace topics: signs, safety rules, tools, times, prices, short notices and simple instructions from a supervisor.

EPS-TOPIK is not the same test as TOPIK. If you are not sure which one you need, read EPS-TOPIK and TOPIK: what is the difference?

Check the official notice first

Registration dates, fees, eligibility, test format and pass requirements are set in the official notice for each country and test round, and they can change. Always read the current notice on the official EPS portal or from the agency in your country. Our guide How to read an official EPS exam notice explains what to look for. This website does not handle registration or results.

A learning sequence that works

  1. Foundations. Read the beginner guide and make a plan with the 30 day study plan.
  2. Words you will see at work. Learn safety vocabulary, tools and equipment and numbers and counting, then try EPS vocabulary 01.
  3. Reading. Study workplace signs and short notices, then take EPS reading 01.
  4. Listening. Practise numbers and time and workplace instructions, then take EPS listening 01.
  5. Put it together. Take EPS mixed 01 in timed mode and review it properly.

About our practice sets

Our sets are short 20 question practice sets, not official full-length mock exams, and their question counts are our own choice rather than a statement of the official exam structure. Every question has an explanation so you learn from each mistake.
