What we store when you practise

  • A guest session cookie (ept_guest): a random code that links your attempts to this browser so that only you can see your results. It is HttpOnly, is not used for advertising, and expires after 30 days.
  • Your attempts on our server: the practice set and version, the mode, your selected answers, flags, start and finish times and your score. We store only a one-way hash of the guest code next to them. Attempts are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Browser storage on your device (localStorage): your in-progress answers, so a refresh or lost connection does not lose work, and a list of your recent results so you can compare them. This stays on your device.

We do not ask for your name, email, passport number, exam registration number or any official credentials, and you should never enter them on this site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which practice sets are started and completed, and whether audio fails to play. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to count returning visits, and Google processes this data on our behalf. Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, and Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

We never send your answers, contact details, guest code or the text of your searches to Google Analytics, and results pages are reported without their private address. You can block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the practice tests work the same without it. Page performance (loading speed) is measured anonymously.

Server logs and hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse. We use this only for security and reliability.

Clear your progress

This deletes your attempts and results from our server, ends your guest session, and removes saved progress from this browser.
